CMS released its proposed policy changes for physician practices in mid-July this year, with the usual 60-day comment period. Our webinar will tell you what’s in it.
Fee setting will be more complicated if the rule is passes. There are two conversion factors, one for practitioners who participate in an alternative payment model (APM) and a lower conversion factor for those who don’t. And, there is an efficiency adjustment for codes that aren’t time-based. Of course, it results in a decrease in payment.
Only one change in the E/M section: allowing G2211 for home and residence services. The webinar will also discuss telehealth proposals, new HCPCS codes, and changes in payments for skin substitutes. CMS is proposing to delete the HCPCS code for Social Determinants of Health assessments.
