CMS’s Final Physician Fee Schedule Rule for 2023
Recorded December 15, 2022
CMS released the PFS Final Rule 11/1/2022, right on time, giving practices time to prepare for the policy and coding changes that will be effective January 1, 2023. Naturally, there are a few telehealth updates. CMS describes their coding policies related to the E/M changes coming in the new year, including prolonged care. Other news: how to define the substantive portion of split/shared visits in 2023, allowing audiologists to perform certain tests without a physician/NPP order, counting time for critical care and colorectal screening.
After the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Describe CMS policy related to inpatient services
- Identify the modifier for audiology tests performed without a physician/NPP order
- Assess what parts of the rule will affect their practice
