ICD-10-CM updates are here and effective starting October 1, 2025. This webinar will describe changes to the all-important ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting. It will include a summary of ICD-10-CM code additions for FY 2026 and a review of chapter specific new codes and important instructional note revisions and additions. It is important for coders to review in anticipation of updates to the diagnostic coding library in their systems in order to explain the impact of new and revised codes and identify potential areas of needed documentation improvement.

After the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize codes for conditions that have been updated or revised
  • Explain impact of new and revised codes
  • Describe changes to the fiscal year 2026 ICD-10-CM code set
  • Identify revisions/additions to the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting
  • Determine potential areas of documentation improvement for new and revised codes
