Guest presenter: Seth Canterbury CPC, CPC-I

Please note: Registration closes at 12:00 pm the day before the event. If you miss the registration deadline, you can watch on-demand following the event.

Though the 2021/2023 changes to E/M coding eliminated much of the counting and confusion from the process of selecting an E/M level, Data scoring arguably became more complicated due to these changes, which has resulted in ongoing uncertainty as to when certain aspects of Data should be credited.

In this webinar, we’ll review the Data element’s most-often-misunderstood aspects, clear up common points of confusion, and share straightforward documentation examples. Whether you’re looking to build confidence, or fine-tune your documentation and coding approach, this session will help make the Data element feel more manageable.

After the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the intended meaning of key DATA element definitions
  • Identify the best way of documenting DATA elements
  • Understand key Data scoring allowances and restrictions
